o
Simple
Java is a simple language, due to the following reasons.
1. Garbage
collection.
2. Provides
huge predefined code
3.
Documentation.
4. User
Friendly Syntax.
o
Platform Independent
Developing and compiling the code on one operating system, if the same compiled code is successfully running on other operating system is called Platform Independent.
o
High Performance
other programming languages use only one translators to
Application performance is depends upon the following things.
1) Less
response time
2) Less
memory utilization
3) More
end users.
If we go
for other languages, they are using only one translator for executing the
program so those languages will take more time to execute. If any application take more time to execute then that application performance will be decreased.
To
avoid this problem java internally uses two translators
1. Interpreter.
2. JIT Compiler
Compiler:
It is a translator. It will convert our source code to byte code. It checks all lines at a time.
Interpreter
It translate from byte code to machine understandable code. It will check line by line.
JIT Compiler
Jit compiler mainly used for increasing the speed of interpreter.
o
Security
Java provides huge security in the following ways.
1) Avoiding the pointers.
2) Security Packages
3) Byte code verifier
o
Architectural Neutral
Developing and compiling the code under one processor, if the same compiled code is successfully running on different processor is called Architectural Neutral.
o
Portable
The combination of both Platform in-dependency and Architectural Neutral is called portable.
o
Robust
Java is a robust language due to the following reasons.
1) Proper
Memory Management.
2)
Exception Handling.
3)
Casting.
o
Multithreaded
Java is multithreaded language as it allows us to execute multiple task at a time. Executing multiple threads simultaneously is called multithreading.
o Distributed
Distributed applications (distributed apps) are applications or software that run on multiple computers within a network at the same time and can be stored on servers or cloud computing platforms.
o
Dynamic
Java is considered dynamic because of Bytecode. The source code which is written in one platform that code can be executed in any platform. It loads the class file during runtime only. Hence, any thing that happens in runtime is dynamic.
o
Oops
Java is purely oop due to following reasons
class , object, abstraction, Inheritance , Polymorphism , Encapsulation
